Privacy Policy

Glovebox is a car maintenance log. It keeps your vehicles, service records, fuel costs, reminders, and photos on your device. This policy explains — plainly — what that means for your privacy.

The short version: Glovebox does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. There is no server, no account, and no analytics.

What we collect

Nothing. Glovebox has no backend and makes no network requests. The developer has no way to see your vehicles, records, photos, or any other information you enter.

• No account or sign-in. You never create a login or provide an email to use the app.
• No analytics or tracking. Glovebox contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, no crash-reporting services, and no third-party tracking of any kind.
• No network calls. The app does not send your data anywhere. It works fully offline.

Where your data lives

Everything you enter stays in Glovebox's private storage on your device:

• Records (vehicles, service and fuel entries, reminders) are stored in a local database in the app's private storage.
• Photos you attach are copied into the app's private storage on the device. They are not uploaded and are not added to your shared photo library.
• Backup file. Glovebox keeps a single backup file in the app's private on-device storage so your records can be recovered on the same device if the app's live data is ever lost. Because it sits in the app's storage, it is included in your iPhone's normal iCloud device backup if you have that turned on in iOS Settings — the same way iOS backs up any app's on-device data. This is not iCloud Drive sync: Glovebox never contacts iCloud itself and cannot read your iCloud account. If you restore your phone from an iCloud backup, your Glovebox data comes back because Apple restored it — not because Glovebox synced anything.

Sharing and export

You are always in control of when data leaves the app:

• PDF and CSV export. When you choose to export a service history, Glovebox generates a file on-device and hands it to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes next (Files, Mail, AirDrop, another app) is entirely your choice. Glovebox does not send exports anywhere on its own.
• Photo access. Glovebox asks for permission to your photo library only so you can pick a receipt or service photo to attach to a record. The selected photo is copied into the app; Glovebox does not read, scan, or upload the rest of your library.

In-app purchases

Glovebox offers an optional upgrade, Glovebox Pro. The purchase is handled entirely by Apple's App Store — Glovebox has no payment server and never sees your name, email, card, or Apple ID. Apple processes the payment; the app only asks Apple's on-device StoreKit whether a Pro purchase is active and stores a single local on/off flag so it knows which features to unlock. No purchase history, receipt, or identifier is collected or transmitted by the developer. Buying Pro — or not — changes nothing about the app's privacy: your data still never leaves your device, there is still no account and no analytics, and the App Privacy label remains Data Not Collected.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, Glovebox schedules local notifications on your device (for example, "Oil change due for Honda Civic"). These are generated and delivered entirely on-device. No reminder content is sent to any server or push service.

Children's privacy

Glovebox does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published here with a new effective date. Since Glovebox collects no data, any change will concern wording and clarity rather than new data practices.
